Safety committee
Log safety-committee meetings with attendance and topics, track action items to closure, and get escalated when a committee stops meeting or an action goes overdue.
The Safety committee module is the meeting log for worker participation (cf. ISO 45001 §5.4) — who attended, what was discussed, and the action items that came out of it, tracked to closure.
Record a meeting
- Open Safety committee and fill the top row: site, committee name, and chair (roster picker).
- Add attendees with the multi-person picker and list the topics (comma-separated).
- Click Record meeting. A card appears with the meeting details.
Track action items
- On a meeting card, type a new action item, pick an owner, and click Add action.
- Each item shows its owner, due date (where set), and status; overdue items are highlighted with an overdue badge.
- Click Close when an action is done.
- If an item is overdue or stalled, click CAPA to escalate it into a corrective action; the linked CAPA number then shows on the item, carrying over the owner and due date.
What happens automatically
- Meeting cadence: a committee that hasn't logged a meeting in 3 months escalates as Committee has not met — the quarterly cadence is derived from that committee's own history, per site.
- Overdue actions: an open action item past its due date escalates to its assigned owner (or the safety team when unassigned), so the overdue count isn't just a number on a dashboard.
- Open action items with due dates appear on the compliance calendar and its .ics feed.
Tip: the open-item badge on each meeting header tells you at a glance how many actions are still outstanding.
