Permit board

A live wall view of authorized work per site — active, issued, and needs-attention permits — with a read-only, no-login kiosk link for the control room.

A live, control-room view of the work authorized through permits to work at one site. Refreshes every minute.

Read the three panels

  • Active — work in progress (green): live permits inside their valid window.
  • Issued — not yet started (blue): requested and approved permits.
  • Needs attention — suspended / past window (yellow): suspended permits and any whose window has passed. A permit that lapses mid-shift moves here automatically, so the board tells the truth about what is still authorized.

Put it on a wall screen

  1. Open Permit board from the nav and pick a site.
  2. The page shows a wall-screen link for the control room (read-only) — a kiosk URL that needs no login (the same pattern as the huddle board). Put it on the control-room display; it shows that one site's board only.

Use it at shift handover

The incoming supervisor can see at a glance what work is live, what's issued but not started, and what needs attention before accepting the shift.

What happens automatically

  • The board reclassifies a permit whose window has passed into needs attention on its own — no one has to move it.
  • Behind the board, the permits module warns requesters 3 days before a permit's window closes and auto-expires permits past their window (a sweep runs through the day) — see permits for the full lifecycle.
