Ask for help
Ask plain-language questions — typed or by voice — about how the app works or about your own live data, and get short answers with links to the source guide pages.
Ask for help answers plain-language questions about how the app works — "how do I record a permit renewal?", "where do contractor insurance certificates go?" — with a short answer plus links to the guide pages it came from.
Ask a question
- Open Ask for help and type your question into the box.
- Choose Ask (or just press Enter — Shift+Enter adds a new line).
- The answer appears in the thread above, with 📖 guide-page badges underneath. Every answer links its source pages, so you can click through to the authoritative steps. You can keep asking follow-up questions in the same thread.
Ask by voice
- Choose the 🎤 button and speak your question. The button turns into a stop button (■) while recording.
- Choose ■ to finish. Your speech is transcribed, shown in the thread with a 🎤 marker, and answered exactly like a typed question.
- If the microphone is blocked, check your browser permissions; on environments where voice isn't configured, the page tells you so — typed questions still work.
Ask about your own data
The assistant can also look things up in your workspace (read-only, always within your company's data and your permissions):
- People and qualifications — "find people with current forklift credentials at the plant". Matches mean a current credential or training is on file; the platform doesn't track shift schedules, and the assistant will say so.
- Deadlines — "what's due this week?" pulls from the same source as the compliance calendar, including anything overdue.
- Incidents — "what's going on with NM-142?" finds the case by number, description words, or employee name and summarizes its status, classification, and any linked investigation.
- Actions — "what CAPAs are overdue?" lists open corrective actions, optionally by assignee.
Under each answer, a "Checked:" line shows which lookups the assistant ran, and answers name the specific records (case numbers, people, dates) so you can verify them on the real pages.
Where the answers come from
- How-to answers are grounded in this user guide: the assistant retrieves the most relevant pages and composes from them. It doesn't invent behavior that isn't documented.
- Questions about your own data are answered from your live workspace records — read-only and always within your company's data and your permissions (see Ask about your own data above). Each answer names the specific records it used so you can verify them on the real pages.
- You only see help for modules your subscription includes — guide pages for modules that aren't enabled are excluded from answers.
- If AI isn't enabled for your environment, the page still works: it shows the best-matching guide pages instead of a composed answer, with a note explaining that.
- If something goes wrong answering a question, you're told so — the full guide is always available.
Follow-ups and quick actions
- The assistant remembers the conversation, so follow-ups work: ask "who holds a current forklift card?", then "which of them is at the mine?".
- It can propose two actions when you ask: reassigning a corrective action ("reassign CAPA-0003 to Dana") and extending a permit to work. A proposal renders as a card — nothing changes until you click Confirm, and the confirmed action runs under your own account, audited like any other edit.
- The 💬 button floats on every page, so you don't have to come here — it opens the same assistant, and it knows which page you're on.
Browse instead
Prefer to read? The Browse the full guide button at the top opens the guide index at /guide, where every page is listed. Guide pages are also linked from the relevant screens throughout the app.
